This study uses a fractal analysis of gravity data to estimate Bouguer slab densities across several regions of Peninsular India instead of using a single standard crustal density value. The results show clear regional density variations linked to geology. In the Saurashtra peninsula, higher density reflects Deccan volcanic rocks and deep mafic underplating. Integrated gravity and seismic modeling reveals a thickened crust and strong isostatic compensation, highlighting the role of magmatism in shaping deep crustal structure.
