Senior Scientist , Airborne Geophysics
Airborne multiparameter geophysical data modeling and Inversion
Dr. Seshu Dharavathu received M.Sc. (Tech.) Geophysics from Andhra University. Later, he was awarded a Ph.D. degree from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. He began his career as a Research Scholar at Andhra University and is currently a Sr. Scientist in the Airborne Geophysics Group at the CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute (CSIR-NGRI) in Hyderabad. Dr. Seshu has participated in several projects sponsored by the DAE- Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (DAE-AMDE&R) across various regions of India, focusing on uranium exploration. He has experience in planning, data acquisition, and preliminary processing of high-resolution multiparameter heliborne geophysical data, which includes electromagnetic, magnetic, and spectrometric data for mineral exploration. He has significantly contributed to projects aimed at delineating uranium potential zones. His areas of interest include the acquisition, processing, modeling, and interpretation of airborne multiparameter geophysical data (electromagnetic, magnetic, and spectrometric) for mineral exploration. He is particularly keen on 3D modeling of gravity and aeromagnetic data for mineral exploration and geodynamic studies.
