Dr. Sanjay Kumar received M.Sc. (Tech) degree from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India and Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India. His Ph.D. includes study of local site effect using finite-difference method. He has worked in the Koyna-Warna Deep Scientific drilling project for local earthquake tomography using about 100 temporary seismic stations equipped with (Three component 4.5 Hz geophone) those were installed for short duration (Five months) from January 2010 to May 2010 in the entire Koyna-Warna region, Maharashtra. He is currently working on the Seismic hazard assessment in the Jammu and Kashmir region.
