Petrology, Geochemistry, Meteorite impact crater, Shock metamorphism

  Academic Identity

My scientific interests include geochemistry, geochronology, petrology, and meteorite impact crater. Identifying impact craters based on microstructural features and geochemistry of impact melt rocks in order to understand the role of meteorites collision in the early history of planetary evolution. Trying to identify terrestrial analogues of Fe-concretion in order to understand the mechanism of formation of Martian hematite concretion (Martian blueberry). My major research interest includes the following:

  1. Geochemical analysis of geological material.
  2. In-situ U-Pb geochronology of zircon using LA-ICPMS.
  3. Textures, microstructures, and geochemistry of impactite.
  4. Petrography and geochemistry
