We are pleased to announce that the CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) SEG Student Chapter successfully hosted the SEG Asia-Pacific Regional Challenge Bowl 2024. The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 21 teams from 18 universities across four countries: China, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) for providing us with this wonderful opportunity. We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Dr. Prakash Kumar, Director of CSIR-NGRI, and Dr. Prasanta K. Patro, SEG-NGRI Student Chapter Advisor, for their invaluable support in making this event possible.

I am thrilled to share the wonderful news that the CSIR-NGRI team (Arkajit Chakrabarti and Arindon Gogoi) emerged victorious in the competition. As a result success, the NGRI team has earned a place in the finals, which will be held Virtually in conjunction with IMAGE 2024.
