Identification of vulnerable areas using geospatial technologies in the lower Manair River basin of Telangana, Southern India. This study examines environmental changes in the lower Manair River basin, Telangana, driven by rapid development over seven years. Using geospatial tools and Landsat 8 data (2015–2021), significant LULC changes were identified, with cropland increasing from 1124.70 km² (33.82%) to 1442.95 km² (43.39%) and built-up areas rising by 581.45 km² (17.49%). A negative correlation between LST and NDVI highlights the impact of land changes on temperature. The findings support evidence-based policymaking for sustainable resource management and environmental conservation.
