Inauguration of 83rd CSIR Foundation Day Celebrations

The 83rd Foundation Day of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) was marked with grandeur today in the gracious presence of the Honourable Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, who presided over the event. The ceremony, held in New Delhi, witnessed participation from key luminaries in the field of science and technology.

Dr N. Kalaiselvi, Director General of CSIR, along with Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, and Dr K. Radhakrishnan, Former Chairman of ISRO, were among the distinguished guests who graced the event with their presence, contributing to the intellectual and scientific fervour of the day.

In his address, the Honourable Vice President lauded CSIR’s role in shaping India’s scientific advancements and innovation landscape. He emphasized the council’s pioneering contributions to research and its impact on national progress.

The session was further elevated by a special message from Dr Jitendra Singh, Honourable Minister of Science and Technology and Vice President of CSIR. In his message, Dr Singh highlighted the crucial role CSIR plays in fostering innovation, research, and development, as well as its commitment to contributing to India's growth as a global scientific leader.
